STAMFORD, Conn. A 32-year-old Stamford woman was arrested at Butterfield 8 on Thursday night and charged with assaulting her boyfriends ex, Sgt. Rob Barbagallo said.
According to the ex-girlfriend, the woman walked up behind her and pulled her by the hair, knocking her off a bar stool and onto the floor, Barbagallo said. Earlier in the night, while the two were outside smoking, the complainant said the other woman made comments about her, Barbagallo said.
Some of the ex-girlfriend's hair was pulled out of her head, he said.
A bouncer corroborated the victim's story, Barbagallo said.
According to the ex, the other woman has been verbally abusive for some time, but she never reported it because the situation never got physical, he said.
The alleged assailant was charged with third-degree assault and is scheduled to appear in court June 28, Barbagallo said.
