Esther Reddic, 25, of Glenbrook Road, was charged with assault, larceny and disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $500, and she was scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Stamford on Tuesday.
Reddic assaulted her boyfriend after he refused to buy her cigarettes and said paying rent was more important, police said. Later, a second argument broke out over money, and she ripped the PlayStation from underneath the television set and tried to destroy it by running water over it, police said.
As her 23-year-old boyfriend stopped her, she bit him on the right side of his neck, causing a raised welt that officers were able to see, police said.
Reddic then broke the window shades, bathroom rack, and door knob off the front door, police said. She left the apartment but not before punching the boyfriend and taking the PlayStation, police said.
Later, she returned with the PlayStation and spoke with officers, police said.
Reddic told officers that the couple had been arguing all day over money and cigarettes, police said. She said she refused his offer to buy her cigarettes if she went to the gym with him, police said.
She admitting throwing clothes on the floor and trying to destroy the PlayStation, police said.
Reddic also said she was scratched when her boyfriend grabbed her to keep her from breaking the PlayStation and said she bumped her head on the floor, but officers could not see any injuries, police said.
