STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 22-year-old Stamford woman is facing assault charges after police said she slashed her boyfriend's tires then attacked him during an altercation Friday night, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Jasmyne Guy, of Ursula Place, was charged with attempted first-degree assault, criminal mischief and third-degree assault. She's being held on a $25,000 court appearance bond, the Stamford Advocate reports.

Police were called Friday to a parking lot on Liberty Street, where they found a steak knife, the Stamford Advocate reported. The victim told police the woman, whom he's been dating a few years, became angry when he went out with his friends, the Stamford Advocate says.
