Maximillian Campbell-Owoniya, 18, was arrested Thursday and charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny. Police did not provide information on his Stamford address.

The homeowner left their residence at about 9:30 a.m. and locked the house, police said. At about 2:30 p.m., his son texted him and said the PlayStation wasn't where it should be, police said. Soon after, the teen and his sister discovered their Mac laptops were also missing, police said.

Police were called and within a short period of time, the manager of a gaming store, the boyfriend of the female theft victim, said a man had just traded in the PlayStation.

Officers were able to discover the man's identity from the receipt, including that he was a schoolmate of the teenage son and had even been at the home where they had used the PlayStation, Stamford police Sgt. Kelly Connelly said.

There were no signs of forced entry into the home, Connelly said.
