STAMFORD, Conn. — Another Stamford teenager has been arrested in a serious assault and robbery case on the city’s West Side, police said.

The incident took place the night of June 18, when the 32-year-old victim was attacked by two juveniles while walking home, a statement from the department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations said. The attackers were described as a Hispanic male and a black male, police said. The victim was hit in the head with a bottle and punched in the face while he was on the ground, police said. Cash and his cellphone were taken, the release said.

Police came up with a list of suspects from investigating similar incidents in the area, police said. The victim identified the 17-year-old suspect after seeing a series of photos, the statement said. A warrant was applied for on Monday, and the suspect was arrested at his West Street residence, the release said.

He was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and third-degree criminal trespass, the statement said. He was transported to the Bridgeport Detention Center.

This is the third juvenile arrested who is suspected of a serious assault and robbery, police said.
