Stamford Subway Shop Robbed At Gunpoint

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Police Department has released video footage of the armed robbery of a Subway restaurant on Shippan Avenue in an attempt to identify the individual who committed the crime.

A Subway Sandwich Shop on 417 Shippan Ave. was robbed at gunpoint Jan. 14.

The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 14 at approximately 10:10 p.m. at the Subway located at 417 Shippan Ave., according to police.

A white male wearing a black mask, black jacket and gloves displayed a black handgun and made off with an undetermined amount of cash from the establishment, according to police reports.

The male departed with a backpack, and rode off on a bicycle on Shippan Ave, police reported.

Police request that anyone knowing the identity of the individual call the Stamford Police Detective Bureau at 203-977-4417.

Officials said all calls will be kept confidential.
