Stamford Police Seek Bartender Who Put Manager In Hospital After Fight

STAMFORD, Conn. — Police in Stamford are searching for a bartender accused of assaulting a manager who confronted him about stealing from the register, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that the manager of a Bedford Street restaurant had confronted the 31-year-old bartender at around 1:30 a.m. Friday about $400 that was missing from the register. A physical altercation broke out, and the bartender is accused of kicking the manager in the face and biting one of his fingers, according to the Stamford Advocate.

When police responded to the restaurant, they found the 30-year-old manager, who had a broken nose, facial fractures and cuts on his forehead, as well as a possible concussion, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and police began to look for the bartender, who remained at large Friday, the Stamford Advocate reported.
