Stamford Police Looking For Two Men In Home Invasion Where Shots Fired

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are looking for two men wanted in a home invasion that occurred early Sunday in which two shots were fire during a struggle.

At about 6:25 a.m. Sunday, two men wearing masks and armed with guns entered the second floor residence at 293 Fairfield Ave., police said. The homeowners awoke to find two men attempting to enter several rooms on the second floor, police said.

The two intruders encountered a resident in one room as a second resident came in and confronted the two suspects, police said. During the struggle, one of the suspects fired his weapon twice, once into a door and a second time into a ceiling, police said.

No one was hit by the gunfire, and the two suspects fled out on to Fairfield Avenue, police said.
