Stamford Police Enforce 'Click It or Ticket'

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Police Department will participate in the "Click It or Ticket" enforcement program over the Thanksgiving holiday period.

Stamford Police advise drivers to buckle up, put down the cell phone and slow down for a safe holiday travel season.

During a four hour period on Tuesday, officers issued 23 infraction tickets for no seatbelt, nine for cell phone violations and five miscellaneous tickets. They arrested one driver who had a warrant for failure to appear.

They also arrested someone with an arrest warrant for assault and ticketed a driver for a cell phone violation and driving with a suspended license.

Stamford Police advise drivers to buckle up, put down the cell phone and slow down for a safe holiday travel season.
