Stamford Police Bust Man, 57, With Collection Of Illegal Assault Weapons

STAMFORD, Conn. — A 57-year-old Stamford man was busted with a cache of illegal weapons after he called police to complain his girlfriend's son was using his car without permission, the Stamford Advocate reported.

When officers arrived at the Duffy Street home Wednesday, Ricky Jensen's girlfriend said she was concerned about his behavior and showed them his safe, police told the Advocate. 

A banned TEC-9 assault weapon was found along with a second assault weapon, three high-capacity and illegal magazines and three illegal knives along with three unlicensed pistols, the Advocate said. 

Jensen, who told police he lives in Darien, was charged with two counts of possession of an assault weapon, three counts of carrying a pistol without a permit, three counts of possession of high capacity magazines and three counts of carrying a dangerous weapon.
