Stamford Native Charged With Killing Colorado Neighbor, Shooting Wife

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford native -- whose father is a longtime local politician -- is expected to be charged with killing a Colorado neighbor and shooting his wife and another woman, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Kevin Lee Lyons, 46, is accused of killing Kenneth Robert Atkinson, 65, and shooting Laurie Juergens, 46, and his wife Elizabeth Lyons, 44, who is also a Stamford native, Monday in Centennial, Colo., the Stamford Advocate reported. 

Both Juergens and Elizabeth Lyons were wounded in the shooting rampage, but are expected to recover, said the Stamford Advocate. 

Lyons' father, Richard Lyons II, is a former board of education member and currently is facilities manager for Stamford projects at AFB Construction Management, the Stamford Advocate reported.
