STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 44-year-old Stamford man was arrested after he grabbed a knife and threatened his roommate, who was trying to evict him, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that Martin Mijangosa-Alvarez was told by his roommate that he was being evicted. The roommate, who is the leaseholder for the Soundview Avenue apartment where the two live, said that Mijangosa-Alvarez had to leave because he was renting the room to someone else, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Mijangosa-Alvarez demanded his security deposit back, but the roommate said he had already paid him the deposit back, according to the Stamford Advocate. At that point, Mijangosa-Alvarez grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened the roommate, who called 911, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Mijangosa-Alvarez was charged with threatening and ordered to stay away from the apartment, according to the Stamford Advocate.
