Stamford Man Stabbed; Police Arrest Teen In Hate Crime, Seek 2nd Suspect

STAMFORD, CONN. -- Police have arrested one person and are seeking a second suspect in the brutal beating and stabbing of a city man Thursday night, according to a report by The Stamford Advocate.

Stamford police are seeking an 18-year-old man in connection with a hate crime attack on a 20-year-old city resident late Thursday. An unidentified 17-year-old has already been charged in the beating and stabbing.

An unidentified 17-year-old male from the Shippan area of Stamford is being charged with a hate crime in connection with the attack on the 20-year-old victim, who is expected to survive, The Stamford Advocate reported.

Police told The Stamford Advocate that the teen and an 18-year-old man -- who is still on the loose -- yelled anti-gay slurs at the victim before and during the attack.
