Stamford Man Faces Weapons Charges After Police Find Gun At His Home

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A man already suspected of violating an order of protection is facing weapons charges after police searching his home found a handgun and large-capacity magazine, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Stamford police arrested 26-year-old Jaquan McNeil after allegedly finding a handgun at his home. McNeil is not permitted to own a gun under the terms of an order of protection, according to authorities.

Jaquan McNeil, 26, of Stamford is not allowed to own a gun under the terms of the order of protection, according to the Stamford Advocate, which reported the weapon and magazine were found in a vent at his home Saturday morning by officers executing a search warrant.

McNeil faces charges of criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a large-capacity magazine and violating an order of protection, according to the Stamford Advocate, which reported that he was being held on $75,000 bond.
