Stamford Man Claims He Was Abducted, Assaulted By Drug Dealers

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man reported to police that he was kidnapped and assaulted by three drug dealers who were mad that he had paid for marijuana with fake money, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The man told police that he and a friend had bought marijuana from the three men on Hope Street on Tuesday night and used fake money to pay for it, according to the Stamford Advocate. After he dropped his friend off and went home, the man found the three men waiting for him at his home, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The three angry drug dealers demanded that the man take them to his friend's house, and when he refused they punched and pistol-whipped him in the face, according to the Stamford Advocate. They then kidnapped him and took him to the friend's house, but when the friend did not come out they left, the Stamford Advocate reported.

When the man called police to his Barnstable Road home, his face and forehead were bleeding, police told the Stamford Advocate. The incident is under investigation.
