STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man was arrested and charged with harassing and threatening his ex-girlfriend by sending hundreds of texts and emails, according to Stamford Advocate.
Howard Strauber, 56, was arrested on Monday, April 25, and released after posting a $20,000 court appearance bond, Stamford Advocate reported.
Strauber's three-page arrest warrant alleges his former girlfriend went to the police on Valentine's Day seeking help for texts and emails that contained violent threats against the woman and her son, said Stamford Advocate.
According to the affidavit, police verified the email address and phone number the threats were sent from belong to Strauber, Stamford Advocate reported.
Strauber was issued a protective order prohibiting him from contacting the woman or her son, said Stamford Advocate.
