STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man was charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl this weekend, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The girl's father told police that he left the girl and her 8-year-old brother home alone Saturday night so he could check on a sick relative, the Stamford Advocate reported. He received a call from his son a short time later, saying that the father's 23-year-old friend Henry Campos was knocking on the door, according to the Stamford Advocate.

When the father returned home, nobody was at home, according to the Stamford Advocate. He searched for his kids before calling police and leading them to Campos's home on Sillwater Place, which was empty, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that they eventually located the boy, who said he had seen Campos kissing his sister and ran away. Campos also threatened the boy if he told anybody what he saw, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police eventually located Campos and the girl at around 3:40 a.m., and the girl said that Campos had had sex with her in a wooded area, according to the Stamford Advocate. Campos was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a child and held on a $150,000 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
