Oziel Mazariegos of 12 Annie Place of Stamford was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, importing child pornography and obscenity.

The investigation began in February when the Digital Forensic Unit received information that child pornography was being imported to Mazariegos's address, police said. Investigators then determined there were numerous downloads of child pornography on his computer, police said.

The Digital Forensic Unit executed a search warrant at 12 Annie Place on Monday and discovered four adults and four small children ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years old, police said.

Investigators determined only one computer was being used in the residence and was solely used by Mazariegos, police said.

Mazariegos was interviewed at the scene and admitted that he downloaded the pornographic videos and had access to the computer, police said.

He was held on $100,000 bond. The Department of Homeland Security was notified and placed an immigration hold on Mazariegos.
