STAMFORD, CONN. -- A city woman who fell asleep after her date dropped her off at home in July awoke to find him in bed with her, police told The Stamford Advocate.
Police said the suspect, 23-year-old Jose Penaranda of Wardwell Street, had been trying to take the woman's clothes off, The Stamford Advocate reported.
He fled when the woman started screaming, The Stamford Advocate said.
Penaranda, who had not been invited into the woman’s home, was eventually found and charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, The Stamford Advocate story said.
He posted a $25,000 bond and was released, according to The Stamford Advocate.
