Charles Dixon also angrily told the cab driver to go back to his country and said he didn’t belong here, police said.

Not only did police charge Dixon, 61, of 1611 Washington Blvd., with threatening, breach of peace and third-degree assault, but officers also seized a mini arsenal of legally owned weapons from his home, including four swords, seven handguns, two shotguns, three Tasers, two switch blade knives and one club for safekeeping.

The incident started when the taxi driver stopped at the Chase Bank on Summer Street at the Ridgeway Shopping Center at about 4:30 p.m. Monday to let a customer use the bank’s ATM. The driver was double-parked on Summer Street and partially blocked in Dixon. The cabbie moved his car forward after hearing Dixon's complaint, police said.

However, that didn’t placate Dixon, who was able to move his vehicle out and park it by the taxi driver in order to confront him, police said.

Dixon left after the confrontation, but the cab driver got his license plate number and called police. Police said they knew Dixon was a registered gun owner.

Dixon was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court on Nov. 10.
