Stamford Man Charged After He Called Cops To Complain About Texted Threats

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Calling the cops to complain about texted death threats landed a Stamford man in handcuffs when it was discovered he had a pair of warrants out for his arrest.

After police responded to the call Friday around 7 p.m. they discovered that Chazz Booker, 34, of West Main Street ,had a pair of arrest warrants for failing to properly report his address as a sex offender. He was convicted in 2010 in New York State on a charge of forcible touching, according to the state's sex offender registry. 

Police also discovered a stun gun and a baton that he was prohibited from possessing.

His total bond was $85,000 for the three charges. Police did review the texts where death threats were made but there was no further information on them.
