STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 28-year-old Stamford man was in critical condition after being beaten and stomped on during a fight outside Curley's diner early Monday, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police are searching for two attackers who fled the scene on foot, the Advocate reported.

A third man, who was an acquaintance of the attackers but did not participate in the fight, was arrested after fleeing, according to the article.

The victim was conscious when police arrived, but then fell into a coma, the Advocate reported.
