Sgt. Paul Guzda said police were called to 118 Southwood Drive at 9:33 p.m. on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, no one said they had heard gunshots, police said.

But shortly thereafter, Stamford Hospital notified police that it had a patient with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, police said.

Police attempted to interview the man but he declined to speak with officers, Guzda said.

Police are continuing the investigation and looking for evidence into the shooting, he said.
