According to Hohn, the suspect, Juan Fonseca, approached a 15-year-old boy at the ice cream store where Fonseca worked. Fonseca took the teen back to his apartment, Hohn said. Once at the apartment, he gave the teenager alcohol and Xanax, and then $100 to perform oral sex on him, Hohn said.

The boy and his mother reported the incident to police, Hohn said. The suspect has a criminal record, but nothing involving sexual assault, the lieutenant said. Police do not know of any other victims at this time, Hohn said.

Investigators gave Fonseca a chance to turn himself in Wednesday before arresting him at the ice cream shop, Hohn said. The shop was cooperative with the investigation, he said.

Fonseca was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child, police said.
