Stamford Cops Help Nab 4th Fugitive In A Week

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police on Thursday helped find a fugitive from New York wanted for sexual assault, the fourth time this week it has assisted in nabbing a suspected criminal from another area.

According to The Advocate, Kenneth Cruz, of Brooklyn was arrested at a Stamford motel when he stepped outside of a room for a cigarette. Cruz was wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Brooklyn.

The report said Stamford cops have been keeping watch for Cruz, who has used Stamford addresses in previous cases and appears to have a sister who lives in Stamford.

On Wednesday, Stamford police helped catch two suspects in connection with a jewelry store robbery in Port Chester. The department also helped apprehend another Port Chester man wanted in connection with a home invasion last Friday.
