"The initial investigation has revealed the items are not hazardous to the community, however, they are — at the very least odd — and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of how they actually arrived at Greenwich Point," Lt. Kraig Gray said.

The resident who found the item acted appropriately in reporting it to police, Gray said. He said more information may be released later Thursday afternoon about the incident.
