The Stamford, Turn of River and Long Ridge fire departments responded to an attached garage at 181 Thornridge Drive about 7:20 a.m. to find the car ablaze, according to Stamford Fire Department Capt. Philip Hayes.

Stamford firefighters battled the flames while other crews searched for people and ventilated the upper floors of the home, according Hayes. After about 20 minutes, the fire was placed under control. No injuries were reported.

According to Hayes, city fire marshals were called to the scene soon after the morning fire. No official cause for the blaze had been released by Tuesday evening.
