Second Man Charged, Third Wanted In Stamford Stabbing

STAMFORD, Conn. — A second suspect has been arrested in the stabbing at Bradford’s Grill and Tavern in Stamford, while the third remains wanted by police, officials said.

Anthony McCoy, 24, of Stamford was charged with first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, police said. He was held on $1 million bond.

The suspect wanted by police is Steven “Seagull” Barnes, 23, has ties to Stamford and Bridgeport and is about 5 foot, 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, police said. He has violent tendencies and should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Barnes is wanted for first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, police said. A $1 million bond was set, police said.

The first suspect, Tyshawn Malachi, was arrested last week, police said. He was also charged with first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault.

The three suspects surrounded the victim and hit him a bottle, punched him and stabbed him numerous times while at Bradford’s on June 29, police said. Another person who came to aid the victim was also stabbed in the head, police said.
