STAMFORD, Conn. A father and son were stabbed outside their Stamford home Thursday night but gave police conflicting descriptions of their assailants, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.
The 44-year-old father told police he confronted four Hispanic men who were drinking and asked them to quiet down. He said one stabbed him several times, Hohn said. The man had multiple stab wounds to his face, arm and hand, Hohn said.
He was taken to Stamford Hospital and listed in fair condition, Hohn said.
The 18-year-old son described the suspects as men, probably Russian, and said they attacked him and his father, Hohn said. The son had a superficial stab wound on his head and refused medical attention, Hohn said.
Police were called to the victims' Pleasant Street home just after 11 p.m., Hohn said.
Hohn planned to interview the father again after he is released from the hospital.
