The shooting took place at 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Pacific Street, police told the Advocate. After firing the fatal shot, the suspect fled east on Ludlow Street, the Stamford Advocate reported.
The victim, who was identified as "Buttons" pending family notification, was a well-known figure in the neighborhood, the Stamford Advocate said.
This marks the first homicide in Stamford since April 19, 2013, according to the Stamford Advocate.
