STAMFORD, Conn. -- A man who showed up at Stamford Hospital on Monday night with a stab wound, told police that he had been stabbed by his ex-girlfriend at a West side apartment, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The victim said the woman, Kenia Matute-Zavala, 27, was in a jealous rage because he was paying attention to another woman, said the Stamford Advocate.
Matute-Zavala stabbed the victim once on the shoulder before the man's cousin got the knife away from her, the Advocate said. She then attempted to bite him and smashed his phone as he tried to call police, added the Stamford Advocate.
She was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, interfering with a 911 call and carrying a dangerous weapon, said the Stamford Advocate.
