STAMFORD, CONN. -- Stamford police are looking into the possibility that a carjacking and a violent robbery that happened over the weekend on the city's West Side may be related, according to a report by The Stamford Advocate.

Police told The Stamford Advocate that the first victim had been attacked and his car stolen by three Hispanic men as he was leaving a bar on Stillwater Avenue Sunday.

Shortly afterwards, police responded to an incident on Diaz Street where another man had been jumped by three Hispanic males who stabbed him and took his wallet, The Stamford Advocate story said.

The wounded man was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, The Stamford Advocate reported.
