Police told the Stamford Advocate that Julio Garcia-Dubon of Stamford had been warned a year ago to stay away from the same girl. The girl's mother had come to police on March 15 to complain that Garcia-Dubon had come up to her daughter and asked her to come back to his apartment for $200, the Stamford Advocate reported. The girl recognized him from a year earlier and ignored him, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The man had previously offered the girl money in March 2015 and March 2016, according to the Stamford Advocate. After the 2016 incident, he was identified and ordered to stay away from the girl, according to the Stamford Advocate.
A warrant was issued for Garcia-Dubon's arrest and he was taken into custody this week and held on a $20,000 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
