Pocket Knife Leads to Stamford Man's Arrest

STAMFORD, Conn. – A Stamford man was stopped for driving his motorized scooter without lights on in the early morning hours on Monday, police said. The man had a pocket knife and a marijuana baggy, and no license, police said.

The scooter was towed, and Orlando Aguilar, 20, of 28 William St. in Stamford, was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, not having his lights on, operating a motor vehicle without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

? Luis Christopher Jimenez, 24, of 258 Greenwich Ave., in Stamford, was arrested for carrying a pistol without a permit, selling a pistol/revolver and illegal possession of a weopon in motor vehicle. The charges stemmed from an July, 2010 incident, police said.

? Melvin Karlsen, 36, of 38 Uncas Rd., in Stamford, was arrested for disorderly conduct, second degree threatening, and risk of injury to a child, police said.

? THIS CASE HAS BEEN EXPUNGED: Yessibel Monegro, 21, of 50 Soundview Ave., in Stamford, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault following her arrest on Tuesday, police said. Court documents show that the charges against Monegro were dropped.
