Man Struck By Car, Hospitalized In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A pedestrian was hit by a car on Washington Boulevard Wednesday night in Stamford, a news release said.

The preliminary investigation shows the pedestrian attempted to cross the street eastbound, just south of Hoyt Street, and was hit by a vehicle in one of the southbound lanes, the release said. It does not appear the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the incident, the release said.

The victim, who has not been identified by police, was sent to Stamford Hospital and the driver did not report any injuries, the release said.

The case remains under investigation and people with information can call 203-977-4712.
