The victim, 40, is a food deliveryman and was making a delivery on Victory Street when the suspect saw him and stabbed him in the leg, Capt. Richard Conklin said. The victim was treated and released from the hospital, the captain said.
The suspect had been living with the victim and his family, but he did not follow “house rules” and was thrown out, Conklin said. The suspect has been homeless since and was upset with the victim for throwing him out, the captain said.
Investigators do not believe it was planned but rather a coincidence that they were both on Victory Street at the same time, Conklin said.
The suspect remained at large, he said Thursday.
