STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 28-year-old man was shot at least twice Tuesday afternoon on Stamford's West Side, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The victim was struck by bullets in the arm and buttocks on lower Richmond Hill Avenue and is expected to survive, the Stamford Advocate reported.

He is known to live in the neighborhood, but has a Bridgeport address, said Stamford Advocate.

Lt. Diedrich Hohn said the man was standing east of the Richmond Hill Mini Mart when another man ran up to him and fired several shots, Stamford Advocate reported.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s with a thin build and wearing a gray hoodie, said the Stamford Advocate.
