STAMFORD,Conn. Citizens Bank on Atlantic Street was robbed at about 9:30 a.m. Friday by a man who said he had two bombs, Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.
According to Hohn, a man walked into the bank and passed a note to the teller with the bomb threat. The teller gave the man about $1,000 in cash, and he left, Hohn said.
No bombs were seen, a police statement said.
The suspect was last seen headed north on Atlantic Street toward Broad Street, the statement said. The man was described as dark-skinned, thin, with a goatee, and about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10. He was wearing a dark shirt and Yankees baseball cap, police said.
