The man was walking westbound across the intersection when a Honda driven by a female driver was making a left turn on to Morgan Street, according to Steve Wakeen of Wilton who was stopped at a red light at the intersection.

"She was turning and she hit him," Wakeen said. "Everything was kind of slow motion."

Police blocked traffic from entering and exiting Morgan Street next to the Rite Aid pharmacy as they questioned the driver. She remained seated in her compact Honda car as officers investigated the circumstances leading up to the accident.
