Kevin Davis, 50, of no fixed address in New Haven, was charged with second-degree larceny. He was arrested on a warrant after he was picked up by New Haven police, Stamford police Sgt. Kelly Connelly said.
The homeowner went to police in April 2014 to report that thousands of dollars in items had been stolen from his Eden Road home and that he believed it occurred when painters were at his home, police said.
The homeowner said his son's wallet with $300 in cash, a $400 iPhone 4S, a $200 Nextel phone, a $7,000 Rolex and a pair of sterling silver cuff-style David Yurman bracelets worth $2,000 each were all missing.
Stamford Police investigated, and a little more than a year later Davis was arrested. There was no information on the investigation that led to the arrest.
Davis's bond was set at $12,000, but his court date was unavailable, police said.
