STAMFORD, Conn. A Stamford man arrested with a stun gun early Thursday morning on the West Side told police he had the weapon because he had been jumped and even shot at recently.
The 18-year-old was stopped because he matched the description of a person who had broken into cars earlier in the night, police said. He admitted having the weapon on him when asked by officers, police said.
Police later determined that the man had no involvement in the break-ins.
The man was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon.
