At around 1:30 p.m. 37-year-old Allen Pearson was driving on Harrall Avenue in Bridgeport when he ran a stop sign and hit a woman and two boys who were walking on the sidewalk, the Stamford Advocate reported. He pinned them against a concrete wall, causing all three to go to the hospital and almost causing one of the boys to have his leg amputated, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Pearson was also taken to the hospital, and released later that afternoon after having been charged with reckless driving, driving without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to obey a stop sign, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Later on Thursday night police in Stamford saw a man getting in an argument with a woman and acting oddly, apparently under the influence of drugs, according to the Stamford Advocate. The man, later identified as Pearson, was walking towards officers, and they could detect the odor of PCP, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Police told the Stamford Advocate that while taking Pearson into custody, they found more PCP on him in a mason jar and in a plastic bag. He was charged with possession of a hallucinogen and possession with intent to sell. He was held on a $20,000 bond, the Stamford Advocate reported.
