At 2:30 p.m. four suspects — described as three white women and one white man — entered the store at 5 River Road, police said.

The three female suspects distracted the two salespersons by looking at items while the male suspect stole jewelry from behind the counter, police said. The man put the stolen items in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying, police said.

The suspects then purchased an item with cash, and all four left the store with the stolen jewelry, totaling $17,000, police said.

Anyone with information on the theft or the suspects is asked to contact the Wilton Police Department at 203-834- 6260.
