Greenwich Police Seek Suspect In Bank, Gas Station Robberies

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Police are asking for any information the public can provide on the person suspected of robbing a gas station Monday night and a bank Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the Chase Bank near Lockwood Lane at around 9:30 a.m. on a report of a robbery. Numerous officers were on scene, with the investigation continuing on foot. Nobody was injured in the incident, police said.

Police told Greenwich Time that the suspect who robbed the bank had also robbed the Citgo gas station in Cos Cob Monday night around 10 p.m. He displayed a gun and took a small amount of cash in that incident, and indicated that he had a gun during the bank robbery, according to Greenwich Time.

Greenwich Police called in police dogs from Connecticut State Police, the Fairfield Police Department and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety to help in the search for the suspect Tuesday, according to Greenwich Time.

The suspect was described as a white male with a stocky build, according to Greenwich Time.
