Greenwich Cops: Woman Jumps On Roof Of Moving Vehicle During Dispute

GREENWICH, Conn. — A woman jumped on the roof a moving vehicle to prevent a man she was having a violent argument with from driving away Friday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of both of them, Greenwich police said.

The dispute broke out at the home of Neil Collins, 51, at 364 Riversville Road, police said. 

Wendy Adele Collins, 22, of 57 Richards Lane, New Canaan, struck Collins on the arm and then smashed two picture frames, police said. Neil Collins then picked her up, placed her outside the home, got in his vehicle and started to drive away, police said.

She then jumped on the roof of the vehicle and, after he drove a short distance, he stopped the vehicle, pushed her off and drove away, police said.

Neil Collins was charged second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. 

Wendy Adele Collins was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. 

Each was released to appear in court on Monday.

Police didn't release the relationship between the two.
