Four Hospitalized After Stamford Car Crash

STAMFORD, Conn. — Four people were hospitalized following a car crash in Stamford Friday night, a release from the police department said.

The incident occurred when a Ford Focus travelling west on North State Street collided with a Mitsubishi Galant travelling north on Canal Street, the release said.

All of the people involved were transported to Norwalk Hospital.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 28-year-old Stamford resident, is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, and the two passengers in the vehicle are being treated for critical injuries, the release said.

The operator of the Ford, an 18-year-old Greenwich resident, also is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the collision, the release said. No one has been charged.
