Five Shots Fired Into Stamford Home As Residents Slept

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Several bullets were fired into a home on Spruce Street in Stamford early Friday morning, according to police.

At about 4:15 a.m., residents reported that several gunshots were heard and several rounds entered their apartment as they slept, police said. 

Officers arrived and saw five bullet holes through the kitchen window of the residence, police said in a statement. The residents were not injured but were distressed about the incident, police said. 

Stamford Police are actively investigating the incident. Anyone with information on this shooting is urged to call the Stamford Police Department's Detective Bureau at 203-977-4417.
