Stamford Police respond to shooting at 127 Myano Lane Tuesday afternoon in which a 21-year-old man was slightly wounded. The shooting is tied to a dispute between two factions of youth in the city, police said.

That shooting occurred outside a home on Myano Lane that was also the scene of a shooting just after midnight Tuesday, police said.

Stamford police flooded the Myano Lane area Tuesday afternoon after a report of a shooting. Officers found a 21-year-old man who had been grazed on the top of his head by a bullet at about 2:20 p.m., police said. He was outside the residence at 127 Myano Lane at the time he was hit, police said.

The victim ducked as a black male fired several shots at him, police said.

The suspect was described as wearing a black jacket and a gray hoodie. He had been seen walking from the sidewalk area near 121 Connecticut Ave. before the shooting. He fled the area and was seen by witnesses running south on Connecticut Avenue.

Stamford police discovered two bullets and two shell casings at the scene.

The victim is expected to survive, police said.

"There is trouble between two factions of juveniles who don't care for each other," Lt. Diedrich Hohn said during a press briefing Tuesday morning about the earlier shooting at 127 Myano Lane.

Later Tuesday, police said one group lives in the Myano Lane and adjacent Connecticut Avenue area, while the second faction lives in the Spruce Street area.

At 9:30 p.m. Monday, someone knocked on the door at 127 Myano Lane and the stepfather answered the door but didn't see anyone, Hohn said. He looked to the rear of the residence and saw four black males, Hohn said.

"One of the males yelled, 'We didn't come out here for nothing,' " Hohn said, and they fled the area.

Later at 12:45 a.m., the 17-year-old male at the residence was in his bedroom at 127 Myano Lane when he heard a sound and looked out the window to see someone pulling out a gun and aiming at his window, police said.

The teen hit the floor as three bullets struck the window while at least two other bullets struck the residence, police said.

Police recovered four .380-caliber shell casings behind the residence. Four black males were seen running to the area of nearby Westover School, police said.

On March 29, several shots were fired into 127 Myano Lane, police said. No one were reported.

At 11 p.m. Monday, police were called to 80 Spruce St., after a report of shots fired and discovered a bullet that had penetrated the vestibule. Two vehicles were also struck by bullets.

There were no witnesses or victims at that shooting, police said.

"We believe that all of the shootings are related to this feud," police said in a statement.

Police asked anyone who could provide any information on the shootings or the reason for the unrest to call the Detective Bureau at 203-977-4417.
