A Fairfield woman was busted for driving under the influence following a traffic crash in Westport.
Emily Bodnar, 21, of Fairfield, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Post Road West after Westport Police officers responded to a call for a traffic crash, police said.
Once on scene, officers were able to determine that Bodnar's vehicle had traveled westbound on Post Road West before crossing the two eastbound lanes and striking a stone wall.
While speaking with Bodnar, officers detected the odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath and asked her to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed, police said.
She was taken into custody and brought to headquarters where she was administered a breath test. The results found her to be over the legal limit.
Bodnar was charged with DWAI and failure to maintain a lane and released. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.
