Police were patrolling near Lipton Street and Atlantic Street when they saw a car driven by 35-year-old Darnell Malpelli of Port Chester make a turn without signaling, according to the Stamford Advocate. The car was stopped, and when officers approached the car they could smell the odor of marijuana, the Stamford Advocate reported.
The officers searched Malpelli and found 15 bags of heoin that were marked "Flawless," the Stamford Advocate reported. They also found a pair of counterfeit bills, police told the Stamford Advocate.
Police charged Malpelli with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, first-degree forgery and making an improper turn, and he was held on a $10,000 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
